Woship In The Beauty of Holiness

"O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth." Psalm 96:9

The striking difference in Holiness and Sinfulness is clearly seen when viewing God's servant and the lover of this world. Speech and activities of men who love the world revolve around selfishness and fulfilling the desires of the flesh. God's follower looks to serve the Lord and fellowman before himself.

Today we all ought to put on righteousness and serve God. Come into his presence with hearts cleansed by Jesus' blood. I am reminded of the Psalmist's questions: "Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? Who may stand in His holy place?" Psam 24:3. The resounding answer is the one with clean hands, heart and purified mind. You become beautiful when you clothe yourself in the righteousness of God. Let us go up the holy hill of the Lord together and worship Him in the splendor of holiness.

Serving God and worshiping God is Heart work.

Have thy affections been nailed to the cross?
Is thy heart right with God?
Dost thou count all things for Jesus but loss?
Is thy heart right with God?

Is thy heart right with God,
Washed in the crimson flood,
Cleansed and made holy, humble and lowly,
Right in the sight of God?

Hast thou dominion o’er self and o’er sin?
Is thy heart right with God?
Over all evil without and within?
Is thy heart right with God?

Is there no more condemnation for sin?
Is thy heart right with God?
Does Jesus rule in the temple within?
Is thy heart right with God?

Are all thy pow’rs under Jesus’ control?
Is thy heart right with God?
Does He each moment abide in thy soul?
Is thy heart right with God?
